About Me


DJ Stretch Taylor is a respected and versatile club/radio DJ, remixer & promoter of 20 years, trailblazing the urban music scene since the late 80's.

He now brings his long-running 'Ghetto Heaven Show' to Colourful radio, with a diverse selection of new and classic soul, R&B and hip-hop, plus exclusive interviews and mixes. Stretch has been presenting his 'Ghetto Heaven Show' on various radio stations over the last 10 years including Essex FM, RamJam, Rhythm FM and Flames FM with guest interviews such as legends Roy Ayers, D.J. Jazzy Jeff, Pete Rock, Roachford & Guru.

Highlights of his career include producing the mix CD for Missy Elliott's multi-million selling album 'Miss E So Addictive', being the DJ at celebrity parties for superstars Pharrell Williams & Snoop Dogg, and DJ'ing at high profile worldwide events like Pacha & Privilege in Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound, MOBO Awards afterparty, TwiceAsNice, Jazz Cafe, Cookies&Cream and in Ayia
Napa, Greece & Dubai.

He's been the DJ at concerts for American acts Mario Winans, Kindred The Family Soul, Fabolous, Fatman Scoop and Mica Paris and has deejayed at launch parties for Kelis, Faith Evans, Beenie Man & WuTang Clan.

He's promoted the 'Boating Club' soul cruises for over a decade, been a music journalist for Blues&Soul Magazine for 10 years, compiles the MIS European Urban chart, plus at the turn of the millennium produced the underground R&B hit record 'Now That Were Together' for Vicki Young on Dome Records.

In 2007 Stretch was voted in a list of the top 40 black music DJ's of the last 40 years. In 2008 Stretch shows no signs of slowing down & currently has 4 D.J. club residencies. So check out his 'Ghetto Heaven Show' to hear the "The Classy Side Of Urban Music".
