About Me

Mickey D has been a DJ for over 20 years and has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in many areas of the music industry. He was part of the original staff who started the groundbreaking and influential Blackmarket Records back in the late 80’s. Steve Jervier, who was one of the owners of Blackmarket Records had a show on Kiss FM called “The Pressure” in the early 90’s, he invited Mickey to come on the show to do an half an hour mix of R&B/Hip Hop. The response was great and it became an important feature of the show.

He then went on to have a very successful career in the music industry working in
A&R (Artiste and Repotoire) . He started at EMI records and went on to work for Warner Brothers where he signed and launched the careers of Mark Morrrison, Shola Ama and Cleopatra who all sold records around the globe. He now works as a consultant and is still helping to develope artistes not only in the UK but also internationally.

Mickey has DJ’d in the USA, Italy ,Scandanavia and currently in Switzerland for Soulplay.
