DJ Magic-Jay is fast becoming one of the most popular DJ’s and names in the Urban, Afrobeats and Hiphop industry in the UK. With a career spanning music, promotions, presenting and events Magic-J has toured and supported some of the biggest urban and hip-hop artists in the world in concert including Mobb Deep, Eric Sermon, Ludacris, EPMD, Lil Jon and more.

Magic-Jay started his career as a DJ in 1997 in a sound system playing at various top night spots and venues across the UK such as Temple, Stratford Rex, Cameo’s, VIP Lounge plus more before progressing on to Pirate radio as a presenter/dj on stations including Mystic FM, DejaVu, Itch FM and Invincible radio which is owned by the U.M.A Awards. Following a 3 year stint at Invincible

Radio, Magic-J set up his own promotions company Darkroom Promotions in 2006 that was and still committed to the development and promotion of Urban talent, music videos, audio and music events in the UK.
 
Honing on his presenting skills, In 2008, Magic-J took to the stage to host a Live music event I Rock the Mic and in 2012 he launched the popular monthly event ‘Take the Stage’ to showcase the best artists featured on the online version and freestyle show ‘Take The Booth’.

To date, Magic-J has presented two successful hip-hop mix-tapes Street Magic Vol1 which sold over 15,000 copies and Back2Business with female rapper Naila Boss which sold over 16,000 copies.

Magic-J has continues working across various radio stations in the UK under the moniker AfrobeatsBuzz Show and works as a TV presenter for the online platform Gidi Vibes TV.
 
In May of 2013 Magic-Jay joined the first and no1 platform for Afrobeats live music and events company in the UK, Afrobeats Live to work on the promotional division that provides a performance platform and has showcased over 100 artists such as Moelogo, Mista Silva, Silvastone, Atumpan, Jaij Hollands, Sonaman to name a few.
