About Me

Elijah hall first started in music listening to his parents gospel music collection which consisted mainly of andrea crouch and jim reeves and usually kept under lock and key in the traditional front room record gram.

This in turn created an unquenchable thirst to hunt down and discover all the forgotten 70's 80' sounds from yesteryear often bunking lessons from school and college to frequent his local blue bird record Store and tape exchange and exercising his new discoveries with his then funk sound system called "caveman boogie" with a few of his college friends and colleagues.

This was fused with joining several underground pirate radio stations in the 90's and 2k such as unique fm and many others, gathering great influence and inspiration by listening to the essential radio stations namely the original kiss 94, solar radio and several other pirate underground stations at that time.

He's constantly collected for over 25 years and has a record emporium of 19k records that encompasses several genres such as Rare Groove, jazz-funk boogie classic soul, oldskool hiphop and has djed internationally showing of his talents to many hungry rare groove jazz funk loving crowd

Further to his musical quest he became a serial entrepreneur and thought to exploit his collection by being one of two individuals along side Alex Amosu of RNB ringtones fame that introduced rare-groove ringtones in the UK solely for the urban classic soul Market called old skool ringtones.

He has recently presented on local community radio station bang radio and has held title as DJ trustee, supervisor and director for 5 years helping the station achieve the coveted title of Sony music’s best local radio station 2007 recent endeavours has seen him set up several business's in the music industry providing a platform for all independent soul artists who need grass roots promotion, distribution, and production as well as a solid platform to perform their craft through many established UK stages.

His organisation raw soul records has successfully produced, promoted, and distributed many independent soul groups from around the world online and into many UK record shops and has been the bespoke record label of choice for artists who require that unique special added touch.

His show promises to retrace the classic soul, funk jazz sounds of yesteryear and to expose all up and coming independent soul artists worldwide to the listening public as well as incorporating the live A&R review of the best up and coming Raw Soul tracks of today.
