About Me

Curtis’ hugely appealing style and seemingly effortless talent, have ensured him winning over audiences as one of the Country’s leading stand-ups and actors.

Curtis is a series regular in Rob Brydon’s Annually Retentive currently going out on BBC3. He’s also just finished filming the new film Mutant Chronicles. Curtis is the voice of Carlton in the cult children’s comedy series Kerching! (CBBC), as well as contributing to a large number of television programmes including The Real McCoy (BBC), They Think It’s All Over (BBC), Paramount City (BBC), Blouse & Skirt (BBC), Urban Heat , Black Britain (BBC), Glastonbury 2000 (BBC) and Jonathan Ross (Channel 4).

As a very inventive and individual actor, Curtis has racked up a number of appearances including the Lenny Henry Show, Ed Stone is Dead (BBC) and Maya Angelou’s Moon On A Rainbow Shawl. His work on the recently-released features, Bullet Boy and Now What, is fast-gaining him recognition in the world of film. He also had a small role in Kathy Burke’s The End.

Following a brilliant performance at the Birmingham Symphony Hall, he was introduced to a rhapsodic Nelson Mandela, who wanted to shake his hand twice.

He has toured his acclaimed and skilfully-written one-man show ‘Right Now’ as well as clocking up a number of stand-up gigs at The Comedy Store and Jongleurs. He is the recipient of the best male stand Up from BICA, as well as the Top Carlton TV Multicultural Entertainment & Comedy Award. Carlton is also the face behind the NHS Organ Donor Register campaign to which 10 million people have added their names.

Of late he has taken his talents to the Middle East where he performed to sell-out audiences. In the past he’s also toured to the US, Spain, Jamaica and Holland.

‘I’ve seen them all and you’re the only one that’s made me cry laughing’ The Chef, Jongleurs Leicester

‘Moves an audience in a way I’ve never seen a stand-up do before’… William Cook, The Guardian

‘One of the funniest guys in Britain’, David Bowie
