About Me
I have been DJ'ing in one form or another for over 25 years. My introduction to radio was Kiss FM back in 1984/85 and being one of the original presenters then and Share Holder was one of my most memorable and fun times working with Gordon Mac and the rest of the guys until it went legal, then I left to pursue career in Management for a very well know Independent Record Company ‘Stock, Aitkin and Waterman’ working in Promotions and Managing their Recording Studios in London.
I left SAW after 5 years to travel and live the UK and Europe Djing in clubs and bars as well as working for other small record labels in their A & R and Promotions department. Playing Clubs in Germany, Italy, Ireland and Greece, which led me to signing up with’ The European Leisure Group’ who secured me with residency, every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at their venue’s in the UK for 9 years playing Club Classics / House / Disco and R’n’B.
In between my Djing, I was a regular Day Time Presenter on various local radio stations playing commercial music, and also presented the Soul Brother Chart on a Saturday Afternoons with Solar Radio which also secured a place presenting a regular spot on the weekday afternoons playing Funk / Soul and Jazz. During my time with Solar Radio, I played at many All Dayers in Birmingham, Nottingham and Reading just to name a few, playing the cream of Soul, Funk and Disco with a particular love of Salsoul.
While still working for Solar Radio, an opportunity was given to me to work for a charitable organisation for 2 years who gave me the chance to read short stories and news paper articles on to cd once a week which was then distributed to blind and partially Blind organisations throughout the Uk.
Over the last few years I have been doing alot of quest spots Djing at venues outside London and once again Joined a few of my friends here on Colourful doing something I truly love, playing great music, whether its R’n’B, Funk or Disco to sweet soul of the 70’s.
