In 2015, Tamar accidentally "came out" publicly on Facebook about her early years of childhood
sexual abuse and drug rape. Since then,Tamar become a voice of the voiceless, ensuring our
voices are heard at all levels – from grassroot to the highest level of political influence. The
Lioness Circle was born out of her passion to empower other women and girls’ survivors in
rebuilding their lives, particularly those born of the black and minority ethnic (BAME)
Tamar is also a home-educating mother, personal life coach, writer and businesswoman. Every
aspect of her personal and professional life revolves around healing, self-care, healthy
relationships and entrepreneurship.
Domestic abuse is about power and control with women and girls mostly being affected. As
women and girls make us 51% of the UK economy, my vision for real change is to see more
women in power, leadership and other influential roles. I am devoted to using my voice and
experience in supporting more female survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence to
not only rebuild our lives but also to become leaders in our communities.
