Gwendolyn Myers was born 12th September, 1990 in Liberia. She has over ten years of experience working in Peace and non- violence education among in and out of school youth.
Recently featured in Time Magazine as one of the Top Eight Young Reformers Across the Globe Shaping the World. Recognized as one of six worthy Africa’s Young Achievers in quarterly magazine; Africa Renewal published by the UN Department of Public Information, New York, April- July 2018. 2018 Top 10 Young African Change

She serves as Founder& Executive Director of a non-profit; Messengers of Peace (MOP) Liberia Inc with major responsibilities for programme formulation and execution as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the organization. Gwen has extensive experience in managing & evaluating peacebuilding & gender programmes, especially for young men and women through a well-established coaching and mentoring programme initiated in poor communities in and around Monrovia and work with ex-combatants as mediator.
Her non-profit; Messengers of Peace-Liberia Inc (MOP) is the first recipient of H. E. President George Manneh Weah National Peace Prize Award 2018 in celebration of the 15 years of unbroken peace in Liberia since the Accra Peace Accord 18th August.
Recognized by UN Deputy Secretary General, Madam Amina J. Mohammed as “Youth for Peace” in an article posted on CNN of her visit to celebrate a new era in Liberia’s history and recognized the strong desire for youths to be at the helm of transforming a prosperous future for Liberians.
Ms. Myers is a Global Shaper of the Global Shapers Community/World Economic Forum. She serves as Global Youth Representative for the Civil Society Platform for
Peacebuilding & Statebuilding (CSPPS) with focus on sustaining peace using the New Deal Principles in g7+ countries to achieve agenda 2030 in The Hague, Netherlands.
Gwen has recently been elected as member of the Global Shapers Community Advisory Council on Governance & Accountability at the World Economic Forum-Geneva, Switzerland as well nominated as Expert in Human Rights by the World Economic Forum joining more than 5,000 world leading experts engaged by the Forum to help shape the global agenda.
