Tony Orlando Corbin
2016 has been a busy year for Next Door But One producer Tony ‘Orlando’ Corbin both in the studio and running his label Chemiztri Recordings. Following on from the sultry house of ‘I Like Your Style’ at the tail end of 2015, this year’s studio work has yielded several singles, most notably the summer release ‘Believe’ which has been championed by K-Klass, Robert Owens (“Cool track!”), Ben Jammin (“Really nice house track!) and many more international DJs including Colourful Radio’s very own DJ Karina. 2016 also saw the release of the remastered favourites Something Special and Art of the Matter, the latter with well-received new remixes by Chemiztri newcomers GooseBump.
‘The Night’s Not Over’ was a successful collaboration with GooseBump earlier this year.
Also new in 2016 was the more experimental and atmospheric ‘Perspective’, the hugely popular disco funk of ‘These Feelings’ (collaborating with Electrick City)and the holiday island-friendly Sundancing.
Meanwhile Tony has overseen the launch of new Chemiztri projects such as, purveyor of infectious funky disco, B.A.N.G!, bass specialist GooseBump and big room house protagonist Freschier.
Big things are predicted for 2017 with two potentially huge singles in the pipeline. ‘Those Times’ features a tuned-down vocal from outstanding US vocalist Patricia Edwards and will be released in January while a release date is yet to be confirmed for ‘You Can Lean On Me’ which is a floor filler of epic proportions.
