The award-winning University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY) finals is back for its 9th annual show this April! The “Sister Act 2-esque” event for the whole family and music lovers will have you up on your feet and singing your way out of the venue. UGCY promises to be jam packed, melody-filled and guaranteed to leave you uplifted and inspired. Oasis House in Croydon will play host to this year’s proceedings on Saturday 6th April 2019.

Our judges who will preside over who is crowned UGCY 2019 are Singer-Songwriter Stephanie Sounds, Creative/Music Director Ayo ‘Ayce’ Oyerinde along with up and coming Worship Leader, singer-songwriter and The Voice UK 2019 finalist Emmanuel Smith. Resident host Rachel Kerr will be back to conduct proceedings and emcee for the evening.

This year’s show carries a new twist, an international flavour embodied by the theme: Preaching to The Nations, where each of this year’s finalists will be required to sing in a different language for a section of their performance set. Be ready to hear diverse dialects, languages and tonalities on what will be a colourful evening and an unforgettable experience for all.
